Lee M. Hoffman, DPM, FACFAS
Is a private practice physician of thirty years. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Surgery, Quality Assurance and Wound Care; a member of Michigan and American Podiatric Medical Associations; certified nationally as a review physician; a consultant for workers’ compensation claims, peer reviews and multiple insurance companies; and is actively involved with residency training programs at many area hospitals. He is an adjunct faculty member of Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.
Brian Kissel, DPM
After receiving his BA from Miami University in Ohio, Dr. Kissel attended Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago and earned his doctorate in podiatric medicine. He also completed 3 years of advanced surgical training at Detroit Medical Center covering all aspects of foot and ankle reconstruction and trauma. He is now on staff at the Detroit Medical Center where he treats complex foot and ankle injuries/conditions in the Orthopeadic trauma department of Detroit Receiving Hospital. Soon, he will also be associated with Beaumont and Crittenton hospitals.
Is Board Certified in foot and ankle surgery and serves as the Director of Podiatric Surgical Residency at DMC and Wayne State University. He has also been on the Michigan Board of Podiatry and has chaired the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery’s Journal Committee. Dr. Kissel is a noted lecturer on Podiatric Surgery and has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals. Areas of interest include reconstructive foot/ankle surgery and foot/ankle trauma.
Michael Schey, DPM, FACFAS
Has served as both president of the Michigan State Podiatric Medical Association and as chairman of the Michigan Board of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. He is Board Certified in foot and ankle surgery and has been in practice in Michigan since 1977. Dr. Schey is active in residency training for Detroit Medical Center and Wayne State University.
David Ungar, DPM
Is a Board Certified podiatrist with almost 30 years of podiatry experience. He treats a wide array of foot and ankle problems including diabetic care and conditions of the elderly. Dr. Ungar is trained in the latest technology and is a member of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association (MPMA), The American Board of Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine and other professional associations.
Marc Weitzman, DPM, FACFAS
Is board certified in foot surgery. He has been in private practice in the Royal Oak area for over 30 years. Dr. Weitzman has particular interest in biomechanics and mechanical issues that affect the feet. He is a welcome addition to the NorthPointe Foot & Ankle team.
